GZDoom is a source port of the ZDoom game that was introduced to the Linux and Windows platforms in 2005. It is maintained by Christoph Oelckers, and includes a number of features that make the original version of the game even better. The new version of the game also features true color graphics. Users can edit the game's PKGBUILD file by using $EDITOR. The DMG file contains the application and an arrow that point to the Applications folder. After downloading the DMG file, double-click it to install the program. You can also remove it by ejecting it.
If you don't want to use the default rendering option for spectres, you can turn off the 'translucent' effect by enabling the "Translucent'" setting in the settings menu. If you want to play the game with smoother graphics, you can also change the'smooth fuzz' rendering effect. This version is suited for high-resolution screens. Its default shadow is slightly better than the other two, but the former is more realistic.
GZDoom comes in a 32-bit and a 64-bit version. Both work on Windows 10, Windows 7, and Vista, but the 64-bit version requires more RAM. To install GZDoom on your PC, download the ZIP file and extract it into the 'GZDoom' folder. You can place this folder anywhere you like, including the desktop. Next, copy the WAD files and extract them into the same folder.
